Rooted in traditional building methods, the Modular House System MHS101 embraces modern technology. A centralised 3D BIM model allowed us to optimise the design, ensuring every element is intentional, coordinated and efficient.

At its core is a balance of strength and adaptability. Two central cement cores form the backbone of the structure, housing the kitchen and bathroom. These solid anchors provide lasting durability and make it easy to install and maintain plumbing and electrical services.

A renewable timber frame wraps around the cores. It’s designed to be flexible, supporting a range of layout options and allowing for locally sourced infill wall panels.

An elegant tropical modular villa rooted in the rich heritage of traditional Balinese principles and craftsmanship. Natural cooling strategies, stilt foundations and wide overhangs shape the architecture and respond to climate. On site we integrate natural pools that support wildlife reflect light and create a cooling effect. These principles ensure the design is both beautiful and sustainable creating living environments that respect and celebrate nature.

A villa formed of two timber frame huts with earth wall infills, connected by an open plan living and kitchen space. The home is set on a raised platform, the open plan kitchen includes a enclosed pantry. The shower and toilet are open to the air yet protected by a wide roof overhang. A side stair leads up to a roof terrace, which offers another generous living space.

At the entrance, four solid earth buildings form a gateway to the site. Visitors are invited to step inside and discover a secret garden beyond. The timber frame with earthen and rendered structures are wrapped by light veranda and shade elements, softening the transition between building and landscape.

The main living space sits elevated on the first floor, offering both privacy and open views. The earth buildings rise from the ground to frame a passage leading to the spaces behind. Every room looks out to the sea. The plan is composed with care so that each room feels private, with no direct sightlines between them.

Our modular house system is designed for engineered bamboo as the primary structural material. The structure is efficient and sustainable. Prefabricated components bolt together making construction straightforward. Homes can be disassembled relocated or reused without waste.

The feeling of the place is divine simplicity, neutral and natural like a forest, the people bring life and color. A place for song, dance, childish abandonment and wisdom. A primary timber and palm structure with bamboo infill panels to used. Modular construction and thoughtful consideration of typical of the shelf lengths reduces costs and improves construction efficiency.

Our project site is a sanctuary of divine simplicity, harmonising natural elements with vibrant community life. Using lightweight materials like bamboo and modular construction techniques, we aim for efficiency and sustainability. The site features a connected walkway building that spans from front to back, creating courtyards. It includes a house, an amphitheater, a library and multiple minimalist beach huts.

For Nuanu and SETTER our vision is to create an innovative environment that encourages collaboration and productivity. The ground floor brings together mixed use spaces with three levels of offices above, shaped through a modular prefabricated component based design. The structure combines engineered timber post and beam construction with concrete cores. The stepped ground floor connects the building naturally to the site, creating a balance between function and sustainability. With its riverside terraces, internal atriums and steady structural rhythm, the building sets a new benchmark for modern office design in Indonesia.

Drawings from a Bamboo Creative live build in Bali capture the architectural techniques of bamboo construction. The Education Hub serves as a space for workshops in bamboo, natural building and grassroots knowledge sharing. Here local Balinese bamboo craftsmanship is shared through the live build, keeping traditional skills alive while inspiring new generations of builders.

Designed with Bamboo Creative on a immersive workshop on Gili Island, where participants engaged in the design and construction of a pagoda featuring a self supporting reciprocal roof. Inspired by local craftsmanship and sustainable practices, our design integrates traditional bamboo techniques with modern innovation.

Built by CUSTODIA, a beautifully simple canopy with overlapping roof sections, each with rolled ends that allow for easy adjustment of the canvas lengths. Alternatively, the frame can be finished with lightweight transparent corrugated sheets. Strategic base fixing points connect to the existing decking to enhance stability, while an intentional gap between the roof sections prevents wind uplift. Following the steep slope of the land, the canopy forms an inviting, sheltered space that protects the facilities below from rain while still allowing light to filter through.

A double storey spa with a flower shaped roof made from curved bundled bamboo, creating a graceful form that blends with the natural surroundings. Designed as a tranquil retreat for rest and renewal, the spa brings together traditional bamboo craftsmanship and contemporary design to create a serene and uplifting space.

A minimal bamboo deck, large enough for a small gathering, sits slightly raised on bamboo posts. The main corner posts extend upward to support a pitched bamboo roof frame. The roof can be finished with palm leaves or lightweight translucent sheets to bring in daylight. Canvas can be hung below to create shade.

A solid piece made for everyday life. The farmhouse kitchen bench is designed to be flat packable and easy to assemble with only basic hand tools. Built from standardised off the shelf timber, it can be cut with a saw and joined neatly with a chisel. Practical, sturdy and timeless.

Ideal for office environments, coworking spaces or cafes, the pod brings warmth and natural beauty into everyday life.
